Lois Patricia Golding, OBE, commonly known as Peaches Golding, on 22 April 2017 became Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol.

The Queen has appointed Bristol’s first ever black female Lord Lieutenant. Peaches Golding, formerly the city’s High Sheriff, has also served on the boards of several public bodies and private organisations. Lord Lieutenants focus on promoting civic, voluntary and business activities. She will step into the role when Mary Prior retires on 22 April.
