Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Carole Johnson

Bristol Cathedral A Festival of Music & Readings for Christmas It was an honour to be invited as Deputy Lord Mayor to attend the service tonight which was very moving, welcoming and warm. We were reminded of the nativity story and also of the importance of words …and HOPE. The intended delivery of a better future filled with love was palpable. With choir singing and candles burning bright…feelings of all that can be good with and in the world was greatly appreciated. Thank you. Carole

Delighted to have been present at the opening of the Health Healing and Hope Centre. Some fantastic work being carried out here over the last couple of years. Contributing to the No more Cold Homes Initiative, the Winter Shelter Programme providing shelter food and friendship in a safe enviroment for the homeless during the coldest months of the year. Provided absolutely free food snd water for St Pauls Carnival a family friendly space a welcome respite for all. Ashley ward hosts one of Bristol’s most important events in the Bristol calendar: St Pauls Carnival. Carole has been appointed as one of the Non-Executive Directors on the new committee, St Pauls Carnival Community Interest Company (CIC). On the afternoon of Sabbath 29th July, the Bristol churches came together, to work towards a common goal.  That of reaching out and serving the community, by following Jesus’ example – mingling, desiring their good, showing sympathy, and ministering to their needs, by holding a Life Colours Health Seminar on Lifestyle Diseases.  In attendance were over 200 people, with approximately 50 non-members from the community. Organised by the Bristol Joint Evangelism Committee, the event featured two presentations on lifestyle diseases by Dr Chidi Ngwaba, SEC Health Ministries Director, at the Bristol City Council City Hall, a prestigious venue in the […]
