Appointed Windrush Ambassador Carole Johnson

Windrush Ambassador

Delighted to have been appointed by the Home Office as Ambassador for the Windrush Compensation Scheme!

This will be a short term role effective for the next 8 weeks!!!

So I would greatly appreciate your help to get the information out so that we can help support as many impacted by the Windrush Scandal as possible!!!

As Ambassador I will be promoting the Windrush Scheme and the Windrush Compensation Scheme to communities most likely to be affected by this issue which will include: people of Caribbean, Indian, Pakistani, Ghanaian, Bangladeshi and Nigerian origin.

These schemes have been put in place to provide support to affected individuals, to help them to get documentation to prove their immigration status and receive compensation for the impact on their lives.

After a National selection process 250 candidates who applied there are 44 of us who have been appointed right across the United Kingdom.

However I am the only one appointed here in/for the South West.

I am really excited and hoping to get the relevant information (and resources) out as far and to as many that we can reach as quickly as possible .

The window of time is …short…

If you an offer of help, or know someone who needs help, please let me know.

Please help us… to help

The Rt Honourable Windrush Generation!

Together I think we can really make a difference!

Please : Watch this space!!!

Back to you shortly…..
